"Teen Angst" If you've ever been one, or have ever raised one...you are all too familiar with the chaotic energy and emotions that swirl around teens. I painted this after a week that brought challenges and struggles with my son but ended on such a positive note. We worked through some things together and had a really deep conversation about the things he was feeling that were sometimes too big for words. I promised him I had been there and I understood and I told him I was going to paint those "feels" while he was at school the next day. When he came home and saw what I painted he said "I like it" and he smiled a faint smile...."but I don't like McDonalds". So...that's a win in my book.....I connected with him n a different level and that felt good.
I still love the chaos and energy in this painting. And I love that we were able to connect without words to convey our emtions.
